Prompt
Ibn Battuta's ship was intercepted by a fleet of Hindu pirates. The pirates boarded the vessel, overpowered the crew, and systematically stripped all the passengers of everything they owned. Ibn Battuta was robbed of his remaining gold, his garments, and even his travel notes. He and the crew were dropped off naked on a nearby beach.
